The incident reportedly began when for reasons unknown, the driver of an eastbound car suddenly drifted across the center line and into oncoming lanes of traffic. The car proceeded to crash into a nearby pickup truck and the impact of the crash forced the truck to collide with a third vehicle.
Authorities have advised that the driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to a medical facility for treatment of severe injuries. The driver of the third car was also injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. Authorities say that the driver who caused the crash died after being rushed to the hospital.
