Collisions can occur under a multitude of circumstances. In some cases, it could even be difficult to determine what caused a driver to make a dangerous maneuver. Those who exhibit negligence while behind the wheel of a vehicle run the risk of creating a scenario that places the lives of all others nearby at risk. A recent head-on car accident in Maryland has reportedly claimed the life of one person and left at least one other with injuries that prompted the request of a Medevac transport.

Reports indicate that law enforcement agents responded to the scene of the crash on a recent Friday morning. The incident reportedly occurred when the driver of a vehicle suddenly drifted through the center lane and crossed into oncoming traffic. This reportedly led to a head-on collision that claimed the life of at least one person.

Although authorities also say that they requested an emergency transport, it is unclear how many others suffered injuries in the crash. They also advised that the subsequent disruption in traffic patterns led to a secondary crash. While each of the incidents remain under investigation, it is still unclear as to what might have caused the driver of the first vehicle to veer into oncoming lanes.

When a vehicle drifts into another lane, nearby drivers may have little time to respond and avoid collision. Individuals in Maryland who suffer harm or loss in such a car accident may be left in search of answers or for guidance on their available legal avenues. Following a similar experience, a person could choose to speak with an attorney for guidance on how best to prepare to pursue the full amount of restitution entitled.
